# A2A Travel Planner: using this repo (for agents)

This repo holds read-only data for planning trips in Japan: 20 historic, low-key attractions in each of 10 cities.

## Where things are
- `cities/<city>/attractions.json`: attraction records (schema: `schema/attraction.schema.json`).
- `cities/<city>/posts.json`: public blog posts and photo links, keyed by `attraction_id`.
- `data/intercity.json`: sourced typical travel times between city pairs (schema: `schema/intercity.schema.json`).
- `.well-known/agent-card.json`: A2A card with the skills the endpoint answers.
- `llms.txt`: short index of the data files.

## Rules
- Coordinates are WGS84 decimal degrees from OpenStreetMap and Wikidata.
- Photos are links to the original blog. Do not re-host them. Credit the author and site.
- Check `retrieved_on`. Opening hours, access and closures are not in this data; verify before travel.
- Travel times are typical durations, not timetables or prices. Verify with the operator.
- Data is under the ODbL. Keep the attribution in `README.md` when you reuse it.

## Suggested workflow
1. List cities, then find attractions by category or era.
2. Use `nearby` to group attractions into a day within walking distance.
3. Fetch posts for each chosen attraction and cite them to the traveller.

## Status
Scaffold only: the data files are empty until the Kyoto pilot is collected. Check the attraction counts in `index.html` or `llms.txt` before relying on a city.
